The core of this project stems from the producer’s (Kevin’s) passion for horror and his zeal for helping others through ministry. There were two priorities with regards to the film’s story and writing: (1) to provide thrilling and atmospheric elements that pay homage to the Silent Hill franchise and its usage of dark storytelling/symbolism in tackling mature themes, and (2) to teach about the power of forgiveness and how it can affect one’s mental and emotional state. Elements of the story are based on Kevin’s personal experiences, and he hopes that the discussion presented in the film can provide some insight/guidance for those who may have endured similar seasons of hardship and/or depression. The lesson presented can potentially plant viewers on a path towards healing, as it did for Kevin.
